We hold our three summer yard sales at Attitash’s Bear Peak base lodge in Bartlett, where they store our furniture donations at no cost. This space has been donated by Attitash for several years – since furniture is donated and volunteers run the sale; Attitash donating the space and storage equates to 100% of yard sales proceeds going to our mission.
A big thank you to General Manager John Lowell of Attitash Mountain Resort and their staff for their community minded spirit!

Silver Lake Home Center
Silver Lake Home Center in Madison, New Hampshire has been a strong supporter for several years. We originally entered into this relationship through a discussion regarding pricing. We feel very fortunate that that door was opened. Not only has Silver Lake Home Center consistently provided favorable pricing, Mark Sherwood and his staff have taken it upon themselves to reach out to their jobbers and manufacturers thus funneling reduced costs directly to us. They never miss an opportunity to consider our mission when ordering materials for our projects.
Silver Lake Home Center has over the past several years provided a drop-off and storage service for Habitat’s other providers and ordered non-stock items to get good prices on specific materials. Mark and his crew of yardmen, deliverymen and professional counter service folks have indeed made it a pleasure doing business.

McSherry’s Nursery and Home Grown Lumber Donates
In October, we received another donation of shrubs and flowering plants to complete the foundation landscaping of the Berry home in Fryeburg from McSherry’s Nursery in E. Conway. This is the seventh time that McSherry’s has provided planting materials for one of our Habitat homes. After the planting was completed by the crew of volunteers, a donated load of mulch from Home Grown Lumber in Conway was spread around the plants. The mulch is also a continued donation as we have received several loads from this company over the years.
